Some hardworking fan has compiled Native Tongues — “A Cultural History of Black Sitcom Theme Songs.”
It’s more of a random selection of black sitcom theme songs, reaching back to the 1970s. Most of them are since the 1990s, probably because cable television made it more possible to actually have black sitcoms.
From Bill Cosby to Chris Rock to Jamie Foxx, you’ll see plenty of familiar faces at Native Tongues.
