‘Portrait of The Cartoonist as a Dog Owner’ – Yeah!

Ha ha ha! I just found myself chortling uncontrollably while reading Joe Sacco’s comic, “Portrait of the Artist as a Dog Owner.”

I don’t own dogs myself, but I treasured his raw exasperation nonetheless.  Frame four, where he grimly calculates the hours wasted down to the minute, feels like something I might do myself.  Sacco lives in Portland, Oregon — another point in his favor — and has a fascinating resume.

Worth the read!
