Charlie Brown talks about ‘homies’

An old Peanuts comic is repurposed in this satirical artwork by Mark Drew, showing Charlie Brown (left) and Lucy leaning on a wall. Charlie Brown is saying, "It ain't no fun if the homies can't have none." Per StolenSpace.com, Drew "has curated a signature style of remixing rap quotes over Peanuts paintings. This intriguing cross-over culminates into layered feelings of nostalgia." Translation: it's funny to put lyrics from rappers into the mouths of old-timey cartoon characters. While it's fair game from the humor/art point of view, it's not clear if Peanuts creator Charles Schulz (1922-2000) would have enjoyed the gag.
