Daisy Duke was the cheerfully buxom hillbilly cousin on the TV show The Dukes of Hazzard. The country-fried car-chase show was a prime-time hit from 1979-1985. Daisy mostly wore halter tops and extra-tight denim cutoffs (which became widely known as "Daisy Dukes"). Daisy was played by Catherine Bach; her cousins Bo and Luke Duke were played by John Schneider and Tom Wopat. In a 2005 feature film version of the story, Daisy was played by pop singer Jessica Simpson.

Extra credit: Daisy's shorts inspired the 1992 double-platinum single "Dazzey Duks" by the rapper Duice... According to The Hollywood Reporter, Britney Spears was considered for the role of Daisy in the Dukes of Hazzard movie before Simpson got the part.

Real-life 1980s TV stars include Soleil Moon Frye, Heather Locklear and Tom Hanks.
