As chief medical officer Beverly Crusher of the space ship Enterprise on TV's Star Trek: The Next Generation, McFadden mixed cool professionalism with a certain mature sex appeal. The combination earned her a devoted fan following. Her other film roles include The Hunt for Red October (1988, with Alec Baldwin) and several Star Trek movies, including Generations (1994), Insurrection (1998) and Nemesis (2002). Early in her career McFadden was a choreographer on the Jim Henson movies Labyrinth (1986) and The Dark Crystal (1982).

Extra credit: In 1988 McFadden had a regular role on the TV soap opera All My Children... Other Star Trek stars on Who2 include Nana Visitor, Scott Bakula and William Shatner.
