Pat Sajak

Pat Sajak and Vanna White are the longtime hosts of the TV game show Wheel of Fortune. Sajak joined the U.S. Army in 1968 and spent time in Saigon broadcasting for Armed Forces Radio. After his discharge he moved from radio into television, eventually becoming a weatherman at KNBC in Los Angeles. Sajak began hosting a daytime version of Wheel of Fortune in 1981; the series became a syndicated evening program in 1983, and throughout the 1990s was TV's top-rated evening game show. From 1989-90 he hosted his own short-lived late-night program, The Pat Sajak Show. In January 2003 Fox News announced that Sajak would begin hosting his own talk show, Pat Sajak Weekend, to begin later that year.Extra credit: Before Sajak, Wheel of Fortune was hosted by Chuck Woolery.
