Pop music star Aaliyah poses for a photo in a snappy black dress at the 2001 MTV Movie Awards. This was at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on June 2, 2001. Rather horrifyingly, this was just a few months before her death at age 22 in a plane crash in the Bahamas.
