Barbara Cartland’s ivy-covered mansion

Barbara Cartland's estate, Camfield Place, seen in 1994. The estate was set on 400 acres of land near the village of Hatfield in Hertfordshire, England, about 20 miles north of London. The mansion was formerly the home of "Peter Rabbit" writer Beatrix Potter. After Cartland's death in 2000, she was "laid to rest in a cardboard coffin in the grounds of Camfield beneath an oak tree planted by Queen Elizabeth I," per a 2019 article in the Express.
