Ernest Hemingway and a dead lion

Author Ernest Hemingway poses with a dead lion that had never done him any harm, while on safari in Africa in January, 1934. This is back in the days when big game hunting was regarded as a normal thing.

This photograph is part of the Ernest Hemingway Photograph Collection, John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum, Boston.
