Laura San Giacomo in ‘Quigley Down Under’

Laura San Giacomo (right) poses with star Tom Selleck in a PR photo from the 1990 film Quigley Down Under. Selleck was Quigley, an American cowboy and rifleman who travels to Australia for a mysterious job. San Giacomo was Crazy Cora, a fellow American in Australia who (spoiler) was not actually crazy. Selleck was a fabulous TV star at the time, known for Magnum, P.I., San Giacomo was fresh off her acclaimed role in the indie hit Sex, Lies, and Videotape, and both were super-attractive. But somehow Quigley didn't quite take off, and as their careers went on, both stars seemed better-suited to TV stardom. Life is a mystery sometimes.
