Orson Welles

A scene from 'Citizen Kane,' Orson Welles's first film as a director and his undisputed masterpiece. Welles played the title role of Charles Foster Kane in the 1941 film, which was nominated for best picture and won Oscars for best original screenplay for Welles and co-writer Joseph Mankiewicz. The film is regularly ranked the top 10, and often ranked number one, on critics' lists of the greatest films of all time.
