Robert Redford gets an honorary Oscar

Robert Redford poses with actress Barbra Streisand after he received an honorary Oscar from the Board of Governors of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Redford was given the Oscar for his 40-year career as an actor and director. Redford had already won one Oscar, for directing the 1980 drama Ordinary People. He was Oscar-nominated once as an actor, for his 1973 film The Sting. (Jack Lemmon won that year for Save the Tiger.)
