The artist Salvador Dali, who designed the dream sequence for Alfred Hitchcock's 1945 thriller Spellbound. Salvador Dali's mustache -- sometimes waxed, sometimes drooping, sometimes pointing straight out, but always carefully-tended -- was one of his signature quirks.
