Susan Sarandon poses politely with Bob Balaban

Susan Sarandon (left) poses with Bob Balaban at a screening of the film Bernard and Doris, at the Time Warner Center in New York City on January 30, 2008. Bernard and Doris is described as "a semi-fictionalized account of the relationship that developed between socialite heiress and philanthropist Doris Duke and her self-destructive Irish butler Bernard Lafferty later in her life." Susan Sarandon played the Doris Duke character, and Bob Balaban directed. Ralph Fiennes played the butler, Bernard. As one might imagine for a film with that description, it all ends well, with no deaths or financial shenanigans, and everyone lives happily ever after.
