Terry Fox on his Run of Hope

Terry Fox jogs down a road on July 12, 1980, during his famous "Marathon of Hope" run across Canada. With one of his legs having been amputated due to cancer, he began a cross-Canada run to raise money for research. He made it over 3300 miles before a recurrence of cancer forced him to quit the run and then led to his death at age 22 in 1981.
