Heath Ledger’s Joker with Batman

Heath Ledger as crazy-like-a-fox villain The Joker (front) is flanked by crazy-like-a-fox hero Batman (Christian Bale) in the 2008 film The Dark Knight, directed by Christopher Nolan. Heath Ledger won an Oscar as best supporting actor for the role, but sadly, it was given posthumously: by the time the film came out, Ledger had already died at age 28 from an accidental overdose of anti-depressants, pain killers, and sleeping medications.
