Adriana Lima gets a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame (sort of)
Supermodel Adriana Lima smiles as she holds a replica of a Hollywood Walk of Fame star. This was at an event in Hollywood in which the Victoria's Secret Angels were given a star on the Walk of Fame in celebration of the lingerie company's 25th Anniversary. So Lima was one of the group getting the star, as it were. This was in Los Angeles on November 13, 2007.
Victoria's Secret retired (or scrapped, less politely) its long line of scantily-clad Angels in 2021, saying that the notion was no longer "culturally relevant." Thus their star on the Walk of Fame joins other once honored, but now forgotten, stars such as silent film actor Art Acord, radio deejays Mark & Kim, and, alas, the culturally irrelevant monster Godzilla.
