When John Daly is giving you family advice, you know you’re in trouble.
Or maybe you’re getting a gift from a philosopher. Who has more experience with family trouble than Daly, whose fourth wife once attacked him with a steak knife? Daly actually has played with scratches on his face.
Daly seems like a good egg, in his own way, despite everything. His comment on the Tiger Woods brouhaha yesterday:
The thing that Tiger needs to look at is, whatever happened, just tell the truth.
…He’ll get over this. The family will get over it. They’ll move on. Golf needs him.
I hate for something like that to happen to anybody. I just want him and his wife and kids to be happy and for him to keep pursuing the goals that he had.
