Facts about Haley Bennett
Haley Bennett Biography
After nearly a decade of film roles, Haley Bennett “broke out” in 2016, when she appeared in five feature films, including The Magnificent Seven and the film version of the Paula Hawkins thriller The Girl on the Train.
Haley Bennett began her screen career with a key role in the 2007 comedy Music & Lyrics (starring Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore). After that impressive debut, Bennett made more than a dozen movies, most of them forgettable — from the horror flick The Haunting of Molly Hartley (2008) to the drug drama Deep Powder (2013) — but she was often the lead or an important player.
Her looks as well as her performances had critics comparing her to Jennifer Lawrence, and by 2015 she was getting better roles in bigger movies, including The Equalizer (2014, starring Denzel Washington), Hardcore Henry (2015), A Kind of Murder (2016) and the remake of The Magnificent Seven (with Denzel Washington and Chris Pratt). In The Girl on the Train she played Megan, the beautiful but ill-fated neighbor of Rebecca Ferguson’s Anna.
