Epilepsy is a disorder of the brain. It is treated with many different drugs. It is being evaluated now as a hereditary disease, mainly of Mediterranean descent, of which John Travolta is. Neurologists pour numerous drugs into a seizure patient until the seizures subside. Never mind the comatose lifestyle, the depression, etc. Seizures stop. This is no way for anyone to live. The Travoltas, I assume were sick of watching their child live such a life, esp. given his other problems. They took matters in their own hands and tried to detoxify him, care for him in the best way possible and love him. For that I applaud them. Neurologists in regards to epilepsy are guessologists. Believe me, I know.
