Leonard Nimoy
Actor / Filmmaker
Leonard Nimoy will be forever known as the emotionless Mr. Spock in the original TV version of Star Trek. Nimoy's love/hate relationship with the character is well known; he wrote a 1975 autobiography titled I Am Not Spock, but later reached a peaceful coexistence with his alter ego. (In 1995 he wrote a second autobiography titled I Am Spock.) He also had a run as a semi-regular star of the TV series Mission: Impossible from 1969-71. In the 1980s Nimoy began a second career as a director, overseeing two Star Trek films and the hit film Three Men and a Baby.Extra credit: Nimoy has toured extensively with a one-man show about Vincent Van Gogh.
Mr. Nimoy appears with Heather Locklear in our whimsical loop Memories of T.J. Hooker... Other Trek stars on Who2 include William Shatner, James Doohan and the late DeForest Kelley.
