Tom Brady’s Controversial Statement to Team: “Let’s Go”

The NFL had quarterback Tom Brady and coach Bill Belichick miked for sound during Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts. Money quotes:

“Gotta get goin’.”

“Let’s go, let’s go.”

“Let’s just get on the ball and get going here.”

“Way to run, baby!”

“C’mon, defense!”

In other words, about what you would have heard on the sideline from Vince Lombardi in the 1960s or Amos Alonzo Stagg in the 1890s, or from Hall of Famer Hannibal Barca about 218 B.C.  “Let’s go, you big elephants!”

The Colts are 0-12 this year, which may be why neither Brady or Belichick says anything very inspired during the four-minute clip.  Or maybe there’s just not much to say during a football game. “C’mon, defense!”

We do learn at the 1:18 mark that Brady’s snap count ends with “Alpha… wolf!”
