Hollywood hit a peak with summer movies exactly 30 years ago, says David Morgan of CBS News. Among the summer flicks of 1982:

  • ET: The Extra-Terrestrial
  • The Road Warrior
  • Fast Times at Ridgemont High
  • Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan
  • Blade Runner
  • An Officer and a Gentleman

Of course, that year also gave us Sylvester Stallone in Rocky III. And Firefox, the rare Clint Eastwood misfire, with Clint as a pilot who steals a mind-controlled Russian fighter jet. And Burt Reynolds awkwardly romancing Dolly Parton in The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.
