It looks as if we finally have a date for the release of The Who‘s new album, titled (remarkably) Who2. Pete Townshend says in this interview that October 23 is the magic day.
It’s hard to describe what it feels like to have one of the world’s great rock bands name an album after your website. We’re thrilled, of course. We’re big, big fans. We remember listening to “Magic Bus” and “Baba O’Reilly” back in Matthews Hall in our salad days at school. We had no idea the boys even knew we existed, much less that they would be willing to give us such a flabbergasting tribute.
We are deeply grateful. And you can be sure we’ll be following news of the album over the coming weeks.
