Princess Charlotte of Cambridge Biography
Princess Charlotte of Cambridge is the second child of Prince William, who is the heir to the British throne, and his wife the Duchess of Cambridge.
Princess Charlotte of Cambridge was born on May 2, 2015 and given the full name of Charlotte Elizabeth Diana. (CNN reported that “The middle names… hark to her great-grandmother, the current queen, and her paternal grandmother, Princess Diana, who died in 1997. Charlotte, a feminine form of Charles, is likely a nod to her grandfather, Prince Charles.”)
The official announcement posted at Buckingham Palace read, “Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a daughter at 8:36 am today.” The royal family announced after the birth that the girl’s official title would be Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte of Cambridge. Princess Charlotte immediately became fourth in line to the British throne, after her grandfather Prince Charles, her father Prince William, and her older brother Prince George of Cambridge.
She also has a younger brother, Prince Louis, born in 2018.
