Dick Clark turned 80 in November, but he’ll still be on camera for his ‘New Year’s Rockin’ Eve’ program tonight in Times Square.
Ryan Seacrest will do the real heavy lifting for him tonight, as he has since Clark’s stroke in 2004. The show title has gotten complicated: it’s now Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest 2010.
Well, whatever it takes to keep everyone happy and Clark on the scene. Fergie will also be hosting a West Coast edition of the show from Las Vegas.
Here’s a quickie interview, with Clark noting that in early days he did the telecast “on top of a building with a ladder.”
