Douglas Kirkland / AMPAS

Oscars.com asked veteran photographer Douglas Kirkland to take portraits of this year’s acting nominees.  The results ended up somewhere between high school class photos and classic Hollywood glam.

Kirkland has been a photographer “on the sets of such classic films as The Sound of MusicOut of AfricaTitanic and Moulin Rouge.”  Which means he shot Christopher Plummer in 1965 and again this year.
