First Ladies of the United States: A List
Here, in chronological order, is a list of those who have been First Lady of the United States of America.
In order to qualify, each must have been actually married to a president. (Unofficial "First Ladies" like Harriet Lane, the niece of bachelor President James Buchanan, don't count.) They must also have been married to their husband while he was president. So Rachel Jackson, who died a few months before Andrew Jackson took office, is not included here.
